Madden video game champ putting rage quitters on notice

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 18, 2011 - To say Denton, TX resident Patrick Scott Patterson takes football seriously would be an understatement.

A lifelong Cowboys fan, the 35-year-old video gaming personality follows as much of the NFL as dodge possible, including serious fantasy football play as well as Madden video games.

For the past several years, Patterson has been listed for his skills on the Madden gridiron in the annual Guinness World Records: Gamers Edition books as well as an ESPN interview in 2010.

With Madden NFL 12 nearing it's August 30 release, Patterson is putting those who ruin the fun of the video gaming franchise on notice.

"I've been a huge Madden fan since it's inception," Patterson said, "but every year now, it becomes harder and harder to complete a full game.  People quit early when they fall a little bit behind an chevrolet d it drives me nuts."

While Patterson and other Madden players gain an automatic victory most of the time an opponent quits early (or "rage quits" in video game lingo), Patterson states that it ruins the game for him and many other players.

"I love the game of football," Patterson adds.  "When players quit early, I feel cheated about the shortened game, not to mention losing my hi ferrari ghlight clips and stuff."

This year, Patterson plans to add a list of "rage quitters" to his website at http://www.PatrickScottPatterson.com.

"I hope by branding those who quit early, it can help other serious Madden gamers know who to avoid and bring awareness to how this can ruin other's fun.  You aren't going to get any better if you don't have to fight for a win anyway."

GamerTags of the players in question will begin being added to Patterson's website upon Mad car news den NFL 12's release.
