Santa Monica Ford President Installed As Chairman Of The Board For Local Chamber Of Commerce

June 1, 2011 – Owner and President of Santa Monica Ford Lincoln, Ron Davis, has been named Chair-Elect to the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. The chamber will install Mr. Davis as Chairman during the 8 acura 6th Annual Leadership Installation Dinner on June 9, 2011 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. The Annual Leadership Installation Dinner gives the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce an opportunity to honor local business leaders and a chance for sponsors to honor employers who go above and beyond in the city of Santa Monica.

Mr. Davis is currently the Owner and President of Santa Monica dodge Ford Lincoln, which is one of the top-selling Ford dealerships in the United States, selling around 20,000 vehicles a year.

"Selling cars has been significant part of my life and I look forward to the opportunity to bring my knowledge and abilities to the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce," said Davis.

Since graduating from Loyola University of Los Angeles in 1972, Mr. Davis has spent over 30 years in the automotive business. Mr. Davis first started working as a management intern for Ford Motor Company in 1973 and after working his way up the ranks for many years, Mr. Davis was appointed as the D buick ealer Principal at Santa Monica Ford Lincoln Mercury in 2002. He has now been Owner, President and General Manager of this dealership for nine years. In addition to his successful dealerships and new appointment as the new Chairman of the Board for the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Davis also serves on the Santa Monica Red Cross Board, Santa Monica College Associate Board, Santa Monica Symphony Board, Santa Monica Rotary Club and the YMCA Associate Board.
