PRLog (Press Release)– Apr 19, 2011– It has been over five years since the last episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and I'm still hoping for that movie that Joss Whed audi on somewhat promised us. But as we all know, you can never tell what Joss is going to do next. Right now, he's working on "Dollhouse" with Eliza Dushku, not to mention aston martin the continuing saga of "Buffy" through the wonderful world of comic books. Meanwhile, for all us die hard "Buffy" fans, we continue to watch the reruns and lament the fact that the television shows on today are not anywhere near the caliber of "Buffy".

When "Buffy the Vampire Slayer first aired on television, my son was 10 years old and had a major league crush on Sarah Michelle Gellar. Ad alfa romeo d that to the fact that he loved all things sci-fi and he was begging to watch the show. Instead of sitting down and watching it with him, I left him to watch while I did other things. I had seen the movie and had found it less than thrilling, so I missed out on this wonderful show for quite some time. Later, after I had fallen in love with it, I read on the internet that even though Joss had indeed wrote the movie, he had been given little authority when it came time to make the movie. He said that they rewrote a lot of stuff, (perish the thought! Who would want to redo Joss' writing?), and that Donald Sutherland tended to ad lib and was difficult to work with. However, when given his own television show, where he could say exactly what and what would not happen, it was a totally different concept altogether.

It was the middle of the sixth season and my son came out one night with a video tape in his hand, asking if he could tape an episode for his friend. Evidently, said friend had begged his parents not to take him out that night but they had done so anyway. The episode was "Once More, With Feeling", which as every "Buffy" fan knows was the musical. My son said it was the only time they would be airing the episode in it's entirety. It lasted an hour and ten minutes instead of the usual hour. I agreed and he popped the tape in and began r cadillac ecording it. After the first ten minutes of watching, I was hooked. Here was a group of actors, only three of whom had ever sung before, doing a musical. And doing it well, I might add. Not only was I hooked on the creativity of it all, but also Nick Brendon and James Marsters as well.
