Obama and Gillard will discuss the strong ties between the United States and Australia and shared political and economic interests in the Asia-Pacific region. They also will discuss the two nations' cooperative efforts around the world, including in Afghanistan, and their membership in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation group and the G-20, an organization of the world's rich and developing countries.
The two leaders will hold bilateral meetings in the Oval Office, then deliver public statements.
