PRLog (Press Release)– Mar 23, 2011– HOUSTON - Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP represented BP America Production Co. in its sale of the Wattenberg Gas Plant to WGR Asset Holding Co. LLC, an affiliate of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC), in a deal in excess of $575 million that was signed on March 21, 2011.
The Gardere Houston team was led by energy mergers and acquisitions partner Douglas K. Eyberg, with assistance from corporate partner Jane Hammond, tax partner John T. Woodruff, real estate partner Randall J alfa romeo ones, and cor acura porate associates Eunice Song, and Rex G. Baker IV. Anadarko was represented by Vinson & Elkins, whose team was led by partner James H. "Rell" Tipton Jr. and associate Brian C. Brantley.
The Wattenberg Gas Plant is in Colorado's Denver-Julesburg Basin. The facility is a cryogenic gas processing and propane fractionation facility located in Adams County, Colo. It is the largest plant in the D-J Basin and processes gas from the two largest gathering systems in the B aston martin asin.
Completion of the sale remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and conditions. Mr. Eyberg is the head of Gardere's Energy Industry practice group and has served as lead counsel for many significant energy transactions in various sectors of the energy industry.
